About the event
Tickets:
Join us for a half-day event to celebrate joy, reclamation, resilience, and activism through Asian diasporic practices that address the somatic, mental, and spiritual scars in the Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) community.
Different vendors, practitioners, healers, performers, artists, and speakers will offer an exploration into how heritage modalities, self and community care, activism, and strength move through healing.
Additional Event Details:
The Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) community has persevered through known and unknown perils throughout the history of Colorado, and yet, remains steadfast against continued hate and trauma compounded by the pandemic.
As we are an embodiment of our ancestors’ histories, how do we look at all the possibilities of the AAPI community’s future in Denver and beyond?
Some of the event activities will include an intention-setting workshop, Qigong class, a reiki workshop, information on acupuncture, sound bowl healing, cultural dances, storytelling, a refugee panel, and more.
Your ticket will provide you access to the vendor fair and various workshops activities throughout the day from 10 am-3 pm. This event is part of the Building Denver initiative, and your ticket provides you access to the Building Denver exhibit and the rest of the History Colorado Center for the whole day.
The schedule of events will be finalized as we get closer to the date.
Community Access: If cost is a barrier or if you are of Asian-descent please reach out to our Public Programs Manager, Jenny Chu at jenny.chu@state.co.us to receive a Community Access Ticket
